Gabriel Brown

Curious about everything, films, visual art, painting, sculpture and design, with an appreciation for literature and extreme sports, Gabriel Brown has been lost in a very culturally rich environment since he began his studies. He finished with honours from the Selwyn House School in Montreal. At Dawson College, he completed a degree in the “Creative Arts” program in 2000. He then left for Ontario to pursue a degree in History from the University of Western Ontario which he accomplished in 2004. He then waited two years before entering the professional realm. He began as an artistic director for the film Misbehavior by ZGA FILMS, which was recorded in 35mm. In 2006, he directed his first feature film, The Upside, which is a love story that explores the themes of solitude and banality. Today, at La Galerie d’Art du Q has the privilege of displaying the pictorial works that have emerged from his various passions.
