Bashar Shbib

Bachar Chbib (aka Bashar Shbib for Press purposes) was born of a Syrian father and German Mother in 1959 and grew up in the Middle East and Quebec. He is an independent producer, writer and director and painter. He began his career in film and video after his studies at Concordia University in 1982. After his first five documentaries and additional 5 feature length dramatic motion pictures in Montreal, Chbib moved to Hollywood and produced another 30 feature films in Hollywood and in Canada. But cinema is not his only passion. The gallery l'Art du Q is proud to present a selection of paintings that represent an overview of his works from the past 5 years.
